US-based grain-free foods company Cappello’s has released its first Ketogenic Certified Pizza line.
Cappello’s Ketogenic Certified Pizza is available in three varieties: Keto Pizza Crust – contains 4g of carb per serving and is made with ingredients featuring turnips, almond flour, egg, mozzarella cheese, coconut flour and oil; Keto Cheese Pizza – which features whole milk mozzarella cheese and 9g of net carbs per serving; and Keto Buffalo Ranch Pizza – which is topped with roasted cauliflower, buffalo sauce and ranch dressing, containing 8g of net carbs per serving.
The new products, which are grain- and gluten-free, are said to reduce bloating and contribute to gut health and digestion.
“Not only do these delicious pizzas meet the basic nutritional desires of keto enthusiasts, keto diet dabblers, general low-carb seekers, and health-conscious consumers, they are also intentionally crafted to satisfy the consumer the way a classic slice of pizza would,” said Capello’s co-founder and co-CEO, Ben Frohlichstein.
Cappello’s Keto Pizza Crust is available for $7.99, while the topped pizza varieties are retailed for $10.99 at Whole Foods Market, Mariano’s, Ralphs, Fry’s and Smith’s stores.
In April, Cappello’s expanded its portfolio with the introduction of two almond flour ravioli varieties.
