Trip has expanded its range of CBD-infused drinks with the introduction of a limonata-inspired Lemon Basil flavour.
Packaged in an 100% recyclable can, Trip’s new lemon juice- and basil-infused beverage contains 15mg of CBD.
According to the London-based brand, its latest creation comes in at only 20kcal per 250ml can, and is vegan, gluten-free and contains no added sugar.
The new variant joins existing flavours in the company’s beverage range, including Elderflower Mint and Peach Ginger. As with all Trip drinks, Lemon Basil is made with ginseng, l-theanine and chamomile.
Trip says that its online sales increased sixfold during lockdown and claims that this is part of a wider pattern of increased demand for CBD, fuelled by rising anxiety amid stay home restrictions.
“Seeing the incredible demand for our existing drinks range and huge growth of our online community in lockdown, it was really exciting to create something with our fans for this summer,” said Olivia Ferdi, co-founder of Trip.
“With everyone drinking more at home we’re delighted to offer a uniquely delicious flavour to help people find calm in the everyday chaos, guilt-free.
“Bringing a Trip twist on a classic summer favourite, we’d like consumers to take a Trip anywhere, any time – to mark the positive moments, whether or not they’ll be travelling this year.”
Trip Lemon Basil is available, for an RRP of £2.29, through the company’s online store, via the Trip CBD store on Deliveroo, as well as from Planet Organic and independent cafés and restaurants.
