Champlain Financial Corporation and GefCo have acquired Naya Waters, a bottled spring water provider based in Mirabel, Quebec.
The financial terms of the deal – which returns Naya Waters to being a 100% Quebec-owned and -operated company – have not been disclosed.
According to Montreal-based private holding company, Champlain, the acquisition positions Naya to accelerate the development and promotion of new products and packaging.
Naya has partnerships in place with retailers across Canada and employs more than 80 people at its facility in Mirabel.
Earlier this year, an investor group led by Champlain announced the acquisition of Quebec bakery Maison Isabelle under its newly-formed investment platform, Humanity Bakeries.
