Premium ready meal brand Charlie Bigham’s has confirmed that the recent release of its first ever television advertisement has grown sales by more than a third.
The advert was broadcast across the South West of the UK throughout most of March. The sharpest uplift in sales occurred for Charlie Bigham’s fish pie, with unit sales per store rising by 36% across the region when compared to the rest of the UK.
There was also a significant rise in sales across the brand as a whole, with unit sales growth of 13% in stores across the South West. The brand claimed that the results offered a promising opportunity for broadening its television marketing output.
Founder Charlie Bigham said: “We’re so pleased that the advert has encouraged more people to try our food, especially fish pie, which is a favourite anyway. We’ve had some fantastic feedback from customers and we’re looking at rolling the advert out further in the near future.”
Available from retailers such as Waitrose, Ocado and Sainsbury’s, Charlie Bigham’s “is one of the fastest growing” fast-moving consumer goods with annualised retail sales value set to top £40m by the end of the year.
