Chocolate brand Poppets has launched a new Mini Eggs edition of its gift box format in time for Easter.
Brand owner Big Bear Confectionery has already seen success with its toffee-, orange- and mint-filled varieties of the 154g gift boxes, propelling the Poppets brand to year-on-year growth of 22% and helping to drive chocolate category growth in key sectors of the market, it said.
It will now launch the 140g Mini Eggs gift box with the same profile as the existing gift boxes and the same recommended retail price of £1.
Big Bear Confectionery head of trade marketing Ross Stanley said: “The Poppets brand is all about families, fun, entertainment and sharing so the small gift and mini self-indulgence market is a perfect place for us. We’re delighted with the response from the trade and consumers towards the current Poppets packs and look forward to further developing the Poppets brand range, where we see demand.”
In addition to Paynes Poppets, XXX Mints, Fox’s Glacier and Just Brazils, the confectionery manufacturer is also a leading supplier of own-label sweets across products such as boils, gums and jellies, toffees and fudge. Big Bear’s brands are stocked in supermarkets and independents across the UK.
