Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury has produced a high quality polyester lidding solution for a new range of quark based stir-in cooking sauces from The Lake District Dairy Co.
The 50 micron polyester co-extruded lids cover a range of three, high impact, 8 colour designs.
Claire Irvine, brand manager from First Milk, producers of The Lake District Dairy Co range, said: “We introduced this new range of stir-in sauces to cater for the increased demand for healthy, convenient home cooking and it’s a natural extension to our award winning quark range. It’s a competitive market, on shelf stand out is key so the quality of the packaging is fundamental to success on the shelves.
“We already work with Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury as they produce a premium lidding solution for our quark range, and as such were the natural choice for this project. We are delighted with the outcome as it looks fantastic and fits with our desire to minimise packaging through the low gauge material.”

The Lake District Dairy Co introduced British quark to UK supermarket shelves in April 2013 as a healthy cooking ingredient. Quark has since become the fastest growing category in cheese this year, as savvy shoppers catch on to the impressive versatility and taste of this naturally fat free, spoonable soft cheese.
