Coca-Cola Amatil has expanded its supply and sales agreement with Italian Coffee machine manufacturer Caffitaly, meaning the brand’s coffee machines and coffee capsule system will now be introduced to the Australian market.
This new deal marks an expansion of the initial ‘Master Supply Agreement’ signed between the two companies in December 2017, which saw Coca-Cola Amatil introduce Caffitaly’s product range to the Indonesian market.
Caffitaly’s coffee machines are compatible with the coffee capsules of Coca-Cola Amatil’s Grinders Coffee brand, and Coca-Cola Amatil claims that the expanded agreement will help drive the long-term growth of its Alcohol & Coffee division.
Grinders Coffee is an established coffee brand utilised by cafés in the country, and Coca-Cola Amatil says that the expanded agreement will help the brand establish itself in the home coffee market in both Australia and Indonesia.
Craig Fishburn, head of Amatil’s International Coffee business said: “The popularity of the in-home coffee experience has risen dramatically over the past 10 years, driving an exponential rise in coffee machine ownership.
“The Caffitaly system is a well-established player in the home coffee capsule market, which is in significant growth in Australia.
“The partnership with Grinders Coffee, a respected café-quality coffee brand, will accelerate future growth through a new range of machines and Grinders-branded capsules.”
