Coca-Cola is launching a new advert for its Coca-Cola Zero Sugar brand which features Mr Hadley, the character portrayed in the original advert when the product was first launched in the UK in 2006.
The ‘First Taste’ advert sees Mr Hadley – a resident in a retirement home played by actor Nicolas Coster – take his first sip of the drink, before wondering about other things he hasn’t tried, such as riding a motorbike down a highway, enjoying a Pride parade and crowd surfing at a festival.
The advert will be aired from 15 January in the UK on TV, online and in cinemas, and the advert was directed by McCann EMEA and produced by Garage Films.
Aedamar Howlett, marketing director at Coca-Cola Great Britain said: “Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is one of the fastest growing brands in our portfolio.
This year, to continue our focus on encouraging people to try the brand, which has the same great Coke taste with no calories, we have re-developed a fantastic, heart-warming advert.
“The campaign brings to life the concept of those “bucket list” moments that universally resonate with people. We want to build on the success we have had to date reminding people of what makes it so special”.
