The Coconut Collaborative has added a new coconut and almond milk yogurt to its premium range of yogurts, described as a first of its kind anywhere in the world.
The new product has launched in the UK in outlets of upmarket supermarket chain Waitrose, as well as independents nationwide, and adds to the company’s existing range of natural-, blueberry-, mango and passionfruit- and raspberry-flavoured yogurts.
The Coconut Collaborative’s almond yogurt is a blend of 50% coconut milk, 25% almond milk and 25% coconut water. This results in a creamy texture and delicious taste but with a lower calorie content than other coconut yogurts on the market – just 162 calories in every 120g pot.
The Coconut Collaborative co-founder James Averdieck said: “We launched this new variant as we noticed a growing appetite for almond milk with free-from and health-conscious consumers. Not only is this new variant dairy-free but it also harnesses the dual nutritional benefits of both coconut and almond milk, whilst delivering exceptionally on taste and texture.”
The brand has also secured a new listing for its Snowconut frozen range with the Co-op, which began stocking its vanilla flavour in 951 stores UK-wide and the chocolate variety in 145 at the end of October.
Averdieck continued: “The popularity of our ‘Snowconut’ range has blown us away since we launched and this is a significant new listing to have secured.”
