Known as nutraceuticals, a rapidly growing sector in the food and beverage marketplace, manufacturers worldwide are working hard in R&D to be first to market with winning formula products.
Swiss based Nestlé has developed a coffee drink containing skimmed milk and 200mg collagen – known in the beauty sector for its anti ageing benefits.
Currently being trialled in Singapore, there are those who are querying the amount required to have any effect. However there is no doubt that demand is there for such products and we are at the beginning of a long and fruitful nutraceutical journey in beverages.
