The international water cooler industry is in a state of continuous evolution and the change from Cooler Innovation to Cooler Plus reflects the increasing importance of coffee and vending, allowing the magazine – available in print and digital editions – to examine latest developments in more depth, and enabling the magazine to reach new and larger audiences.
“As a publisher, we have always followed and sometimes even been at the very start of trends in the water cooler industry,” said FoodBev Media group editorial director Bill Bruce. “We produced the world’s only dedicated water cooler industry magazine – H20 Europe – way back in 1999, at that time focusing purely on bottled water coolers. When the mains-fed (POU) industry became viable in 2001, we launched The Point, the world’s only dedicated POU magazine. As the two sectors of the industry began to move together, in 2005 we merged these two magazines to create Cooler Innovation.
“In the past year or so, office coffee and vending have risen up the agenda for many cooler operators, bringing new opportunities and fresh challenges. Cooler Plus will reflect these developments while continuing to look at water coolers from innovation and technology to health and hydration. Cooler Plus will have a larger audience, including distributors, suppliers, specifiers and facilities managers.”
