Corona has announced a new consumer marketing partnership with music streaming platform Spotify that will give music fans the chance to win tickets to the beer brand’s SunSets Festival later in the year.
Corona has created a playlist called Sunset Sessions on Spotify and will invite listeners to submit their own favourite sunset track to be in with a chance of winning tickets to the festival, to be held on the island of Ibiza this August. Submitted songs could also be added to Corona’s playlist, while users will be able to track through Spotify which of the songs are trending during sunset hours in their country.
The competition forms part of a wider integrated digital marketing campaign that comprises targeted audio, display and video advertising on Spotify, driving listeners towards Corona’s account.
Corona UK marketing manager Steph Okell said: “Music is both at the heart of Corona’s ethos and a passion for our consumers so we’re really excited to be partnering with Spotify – it is the ideal fit. The SunSet hour is a time when you can feel the energy shift from day to night, no matter where you are – we look forward to hearing the tracks that enhance this time for people, whether it’s chilled out or about raising the energy.”
Spotify London managing director Adam Williams said: “Corona have tapped into the insight that nothing makes a summer sunset like the perfect track, and in doing so have built a beautifully integrated digital marketing campaign around it, using all of the many tools that Spotify has to offer. By putting music at the very heart of the campaign, Corona has created an on- and offline campaign that is certain to resonate with music lovers this summer.”
