Cosmetal is providing the US-based multinational company – employing over 58,000 people worldwide – with customised mains fed water dispensers to encourage workers to drink more fresh water at work.
It is well known that the majority of adults drink insufficient water, therefore access to fresh, filtered water by employees is critical to encouraging drinking more during the day. Parker top management supports and directly sponsored filtered drinking water solutions in the workplace, appointing the Parker Hiross Zander division, based in Padova, Italy, as responsible for promoting the installation and use of water fountains and drinking bottle systems for the 15,000 employees in over 100 sites in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The project involved the creation of an ecological drinking water system – a package including a mains fed water dispenser with built in filtration, paired with Parker branded range of BPA-free plastic, transparent and fun to use 500ml water bottles, in order to offer employees an easy, quick and sustainable way of continually drinking water throughout the day.
Parker’s drinking water dispensers are available in five versions to allow sites address local country tastes and needs; models differ with regard to the types of water available – cold, hot and sparkling – and the filtration systems offered – carbon filter, reverse osmosis, etc.
Optimum hygiene is promoted through quarterly filtration service calls prompted by the use of the unique Parker service reminder which uses Timestrip technology based on ambient temperature and no batteries.
Parker Hannifin is the world’s leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. The company employs approximately 58,000 people in 49 countries around the world.
