Central American and Caribbean dairy cooperative Dos Pinos has become SIG Combibloc’s first customer in Costa Rica, as it prepares to install one of the manufacturer’s carton filling machines.
The dairy company will add a SIG Combibloc CFA 712 filling machine at its location in Alajuela, in the centre of the country, to fill the CombiblocSmall and CombifitSmall carton packs. Initially they will fill 16 milk products in CombiblocSmall 250ml and 330ml formats, as well as CombifitSmall 250ml with CombiSmart screw cap.
Later on, SIG Combibloc said, Dos Pinos juices will also be filled in carton packs from the Swiss-headquartered manufacturer.
Dos Pinos counts 1,400 milk suppliers among its members and its three production facilities produce more than 1.4m litres of milk every day. As well as a portfolio of milk products, the company sells non-carbonated soft drinks and has a presence across a number of Central American and North American markets.
Dos Pinos CEO Gonzalo Chaves said: “We strive to offer high-quality food, which means we have to use the best quality ingredients and operate at the highest technological level. We are confident that SIG Combibloc will be a partner that we can rely on in this context.”
