The Cotswolds Distillery has expanded its portfolio with the launch of No.1 Wildflower Gin, featuring a ‘fragrant’ blend of cornflowers, lavender and orange.
The brand’s latest release is reportedly the first expression in a small-batch Wildflower Gin Collection, which is rolling out in the UK this month.
Cotswolds Distillery’s new collection is said to be inspired by wildflowers growing in the Cotswolds grasslands, and its inaugural gin, No.1 Wildflower, bursts with ‘natural flavour’ and ‘delicate floral aromas’.
According to Cotswolds Distillery, the gin is made by blending its classic London Dry gin with essences of orange, lavender, cornflowers and rhubarb root.
The brand recommends serving No.1 Wildflower over ice, with premium tonic water and a slice of orange.
Commenting on the launch, Cotswolds Distillery’s founder and CEO Dan Szor said: “We’ve been delighted with the reception of our original Cotswolds London Dry Gin since its launch in 2014, winning over 30 industry awards and gaining listings in key on-trade accounts and with high-end retailers.
“We were inspired to create No.1 Wildflower Gin by the long, relaxing drinking occasion and this, coupled with the impressive growth in the spritz market, led us to create an exciting addition to our gin portfolio that can be enjoyed in a refreshing new way.”
With a ABV of 41.7%, No.1 Wildflower Gin is available in the UK for an RRP of £34.95 per 70cl bottle.
