The diet recommended allows for no more than 600 calories a day from ‘liquid diet drinks and non-starchy vegetables’ for two months. This can reportedly remove fat from the pancreas and restore its normal working.
In early stage clinical trials by Newcastle University on behalf of Diabetes UK, it worked for seven out of 11 people. Admittedly, a tiny sample, but immensely encouraging nevertheless.
