Mars Food UK has announced two new Dolmio product lines: chicken tray bakes and no added sugar pasta sauces.
Coinciding with a global advertising campaign to ‘help families enjoy drama-free dinnertimes’, the new products aim to meet the needs of busy consumers who demand wholesome meal options.
The no added sugar pasta sauces are made with a blend of sun-ripened tomatoes, herbs and spices and available in five flavours: sun-ripened tomatoes and basil, sun-ripened tomatoes and chilli, sun-ripened tomatoes and roasted garlic, sun-ripened tomatoes and mascarpone, and sun-dried tomatoes and sweet pepper.
Dolmio has also introduced a chicken range for the first time with its tray bake line. Each 150g pouch is designed to be spread over chicken and vegetables and cooked in the oven for around 30 minutes.
It is available in four flavours: Italian herbs and garlic; lemon and roasted garlic; sun-dried tomato and basil; and mushroom, garlic and white wine.
Dolmio marketing manager Ian Nundy said: “These new product innovations will drive growth in the category by tapping into a number of consumer trends: demand for variety and new formats as well as for even healthier, nutritious, great-tasting meals.”
Working with creative agency AMV BBDO, Dolmio is set to launch a global advertising campaign featuring award-winning British actor Dominic West. It will start today on major commercial channels and online, running initially until November.
The no added sugar pasta sauces are available with a recommended retail price of £1.99 and the chicken tray bakes with a price of £1.49.
