Dr. Oetker unveils Chicago Town mac and cheese with bacon pizza

Dr. Oetker has launched a new Chicago Town mac and cheese with bacon Deep Dish pizza in the UK as it brings two meal favourites together in one product.

Available for a limited time as part of the Deep Dish range, the product is branded as a reinvention of a classic American favourite – with an added pizza twist.

The mac and cheese pizza combines the classic Chicago Town Deep Dish crust, a cheese sauce topped with bite-size pasta pieces and bacon bits, and finished with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Dr. Oetker said the pizza “offers ultimate versatility and is the perfect meal solution, whether it’s for a family dinner, quick lunch at work or tea time with the kids”.

Richard Cooper, senior brand manager for Chicago Town at Dr. Oetker, said: “We’re always looking to expand our sub-brand portfolio through innovative products to attract new shoppers to the frozen aisle.

“Marrying two family meal favourites together into one fantastic product, we’re confident that the innovative mac and cheese pizza will drive category growth and create a great deal of excitement around family eating occasions.”

The Deep Dish range also incudes six other flavours, all priced at £2.99: four cheese, mega meaty, pepperoni, American BBQ, ham and pineapple, and chicken club.

The launch follows on from Dr. Oetker’s introduction of chocolate flavoured pizza in Australia last year.
