Cott Corporation subsidiary DS Services has launched a new IoT-enabled filtration system called PureFlo in the US, a solution which can continuously monitor water quality, the life of filters and determine whether dispensers need maintenance.
PureFlo has been initially launched in Southern California for the commercial and residential markets, and will be launched across North America over the next two years.
The first product launched as part of the PureFlo line is the PureFlo Bright, a mains-fed (point-of-use) dispenser equipped with the PureFlo IoT monitoring software,
According to Cott, the PureFlo IoT solution can detect issues and service needs, and provides real-time analytics on water usage and water quality to anyone using the unit. Other features enabled by the system include leak detection and automatic shut down procedure if a leak is detected.
A statement from the company also asserts that performance monitoring can extend the lifetime of water filters, and results in “fewer service interactions compared to standard water filtration systems.”
Dave Muscato, President of DS Services said: “We are excited to announce the launch of PureFlo, our most advanced filtration solution designed to give consumers peace of mind in the quality of the water they drink.
“PureFlo is a critical part of our strategy to provide a range of hydration solutions wherever our customers live, work and play.”
