Elephant Gin will launch an exclusive batch of sloe gin bottles decorated with beaded jewellery from the Kenyan Maasai tribe.
The bottles, which will have a recommended retail price of £35 each, will debut in retailers Selfridges and Oblix at the shard this November.
The launch is in tandem with the brand launching their 1,500 limited bottles of sloe gin this October.
All of Elephant Gin’s bottles are custom-made, adorned with handwritten labels, embossed with a crest and sealed with a natural cork. Additionally, each Maasai sloe gin bottle will also be wrapped in a set of colourful beads that can be unfurled to use as a necklace or as a bracelet.
Founders Tessa and Robin Gerlach created the brand as a means of raising money for African elephant conservation, giving 15% of their proceeds to two African elephant foundations in Kenya and South Africa to support elephant protection and help ensure that the animals can thrive for many generations to come.
Tessa Gerlach said: “As the Elephant Gin brand grows and matures, we were keen to release distinctive items with values that lie at the heart of the brand. We are proud to be working so closely with Selfridges and have been heartened by their support of our brand and our cause; we’re equally as excited to bring the focus back to Africa and celebrate exceptional handicraft. The stylish yet historic nature of our Maasai beaded jewelled bottles will sit perfectly amongst Selfridges’ carefully sourced products.”
