Eltek Group is an Italian multinational company based in Casale Monferrato, with five production sites across the world focused on mechatronic components and devices since 1979.
Eltek Appliance, an Eltek Group product division, presents E-Waterblock: a smart device that can detect water supply anomalies and block water flow, preventing flood damages and excessive consumption. The launch of this product comes as a natural evolution of the success of its flooding prevention device, Waterblock.
Through the union of mechanics and electronics, E-Waterblock is capable of delivering top-notch efficiency and safety in flood prevention, making it possible to save a lot of money on water leak damage. Whenever a leak is detected, E-Waterblock shuts down the water flow automatically.
Its electronics enable it to detect massive leaks as well as micro leaks as low as 0.026gpm, which are not always easy to find. The latter feature is particularly useful in preventing infiltrations that go unseen until it is too late and there is already excessive damage.
E-Waterblock works in conjunction with Eltek App, a dedicated smartphone app, via a Bluetooth connection. This App is available both for IOS and Android devices.
With the App, the user can configure the device according to its utilisation, whether, for example, installed on a vending machine or a domestic appliance, both using preconfigured settings or with completely custom settings.
The App also allows monitoring of the water consumption with a history of up to 12 months, to optimise usage. These statistics help to measure the effectiveness of any water-saving activity taken.
Whenever a problem occurs, while E-Waterblock immediately shuts the flow, a notification appears in the vicinity of the interested device signalling the nature of the problem allowing for a prompt response but without incurring expensive damages.
With Eltek App it is possible to connect multiple devices, making it easy to manage different machines and appliances in many situations.
E-Waterblock is suitable for many applications. Its state-of-the-art technology is ideal for use in offices or public places where coffee, beverage, water or ice dispensers are installed, ensuring maximum reliability and protection from potential water damages.
These locations are often completely deserted during weekends and off days, making it potentially disastrous if a problem occurs during one of these days. It is also ideal for residential applications with home appliances.
Considering the last figures available for the US put the average value for water leakage related damage to more than $10,000 dollars (source: Insurance Information Institute 2020), making the choice of an advanced flooding detection and protection device like E-Waterblock a wise investment.
