Unimilk is growing rapidly in a dynamic market environment. The company markets its own products throughout Russia and Ukraine, and is also active in Belarus and Kazakhstan. Through the strategic collaboration with Emmi, Unimilk is strengthening its range expertise in the area of functional, innovative fresh milk products.
The Russian equivalent of Switzerland’s Aktifit is currently being launched under the brand Imunocomplex and contains the well-known bacterium Lactobacillus GG, which is proven to aid digestion and promote natural wellbeing. Like Emmi, Unimilk has agreed the corresponding LGG licence with Finnish dairy group Valio. Initial sales of Imunocomplex are extremely encouraging.
The collaboration opens up further business opportunities for Emmi in Russia, be these in marketing Emmi brand concepts in the fresh products segment or in the licensing business.
