Empire Bespoke Foods has targeted the healthier snacking category with the launch of Rice Up in the UK.
The brown rice-based snacks are available in three formats: traditional rice cakes for substantial snacking; rice rolls for canapes and dips; and rice chips, a healthier alternative to crisps. Empire said the range is high in fibre and made with olive oil and natural ingredients, without any yeast.
Flavours include: quinoa; sour cream and onion; salt and pepper; cheese and spinach; and seven seeds, which contains chia, quinoa, amaranth, buckwheat, millet, hemp and flax seeds.
In a statement Empire said: “Rice Up brown rice snacks are produced via a unique manufacturing process which makes them crispy as no others, adding to their appeal for multiple target audiences.”
Launching this summer across the UK, each product in the range will be available with a recommended retail price of £1.
