A little over one week ago we revealed Keurig Green Mountain Inc’s new cold-brew machine, the Keurig Kold.
Reporting that Keurig had filed for the TradeMark ‘Keurig Kold’ a year earlier on 27 February 2014, as ‘Machines for the production of cold water, soda, still, carbonated and sparkling beverages’, we also noted that ‘unlike Sodastream machines, the system will not require a CO2 canister for the preparation of carbonated drinks.’
So it was interesting to see that a few days ago, Keurig filed a TradeMark application for the word mark ‘Karbonator’.
We’ll be keeping an eye on the story as the noise increases around Keurig’s partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company and Dr Pepper Snapple Group plus the developments of its own new drinks brands.
How will the Karbonator work? As soon as we know, we’ll share.
