After six years of hard work and investing to unfold the potential of ‘paper’ by adding a ‘plus’ to it, the board considered its work has now moved into a new qualitative phase. The new marketing name – PaperImpact – expresses both the power and marketing force that speciality paper develops in the perception of decision makers, and the stewardship and managerial care the speciality paper sector demonstrates in restraining and controlling its impact on its surroundings, including the environment.
These considerations were expressed during the PaperImpact Speciality Paper Conference, ‘Unfolding the potential of paper with a view on sustainability’, held on 12 March 2009 in Amsterdam.
