UK-based artisan crisp brand Fairfield Farms has developed a new Honey, Butter & Sea Salt flavour exclusively for Virgin Atlantic.
The new sweet and salty flavour is inspired by Korean flavours, and 20g bags of the new flavour will be available on all Virgin Atlantic flights.
Laura Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm said: “We’ve loved working closely with Virgin Atlantic to develop this new and unusual flavour specifically for their customers.
“Honey, Butter & Sea Salt is an incredibly tasty combination and so far everyone who’s tried it has loved it.”
Chet Hansra, Virgin Atlantic in-flight services food and beverage manager added: “Fairfields Farm Crisps are a British company. They use renewable energy to power their crisp factory, and they were really open to our ideas.
“Together we developed this flavour to give our customers a new experience they won’t be able to get anywhere else.
“Honey, Butter & Sea Salt potato crisps are inspired by our travels and wanting to give our passengers an experience that would be unique to Virgin Atlantic.
“This proposition combines naturally sweet and salty flavours, subsequently delivering a snack so moorish you’ll be flying for more.”
Earlier this year, Fairfield Farms agreed to acquire fellow UK crisp brand Ten Acre, partially motivated by the brand’s strong performance in overseas trade.
