Buying group Fairway Foodservice has added 15 new products, which include six curries such as lamb rogan josh and vegetable tikka, to help its customers meet the latest trends in the foodservice industry.
Along with the curries, there are new gluten-free sausages, a Mediterranean vegetable quiche to be placed under its Classics brand, and side dishes including jalapeño mozzarella sticks and mac ‘n’ cheese bites.
Three new seafood products have also been launched: sweet chilli marinated salmon skewers, garden mint salmon portion, and sweet chilli and lime skinless salmon portion.
Fairway Foodservice purchasing manager Keith Hepton said: “These additions further improve the range of quality products available to our members at a competitive price.
“All products were given the taste test to ensure they matched or were better than the market leader. Our members voted these in, as they believe the additions can help meet the demands and requirements of their customers.
“We’re incredibly proud of the variety of high-quality products in the range we can offer our members.”
Fairway purchasing director Steve Jeavons added: “We actively encourage and respond to member feedback. This means the range satisfies their needs and ensures they stay ahead of the curve. For example, the gluten-free sausages are a result of the members talking about the demand of their customers.
“Our expectations and standards go beyond both new products and the look and taste of the food. This is evident with improvements to the packaging of existing products with benefits such as longer storage life, resealable containers, and portion control.”
