Ferrara Candy Company’s Nerds brand is launching a new ‘one-of-a-kind’ candy product in the US called Nerds Gummy Clusters.
Nerds Gummy Clusters feature the brand’s signature mini Rainbow Nerds surrounding a fruity gummy centre, creating a chewy snack which delivers multiple texture and flavour profiles.
The brand claims that the Nerds Gummy Clusters are “perfectly imperfect by design, championing the spontaneity and creativity Nerds fans embrace.”
The release of the new product follows a year in which the Nerds brand experienced 59% growth, making it one of Ferrara’s fastest-growing confectionery brands.
Katie Duffy, vice-president of marketing at Ferrara Candy Company, said: “Nerds has driven significant growth in the past year, and with research showing that consumers are seeking fun and multi-textured candy, our team came together to deliver the fun of our Nerds Candy in an innovative and poppable way.
“Our team of ‘nerdy’ developers, engineers, researchers and marketers set out to create these bite-sized bundles that combine a fruity gummy with a punch of crunch for a delightful combination in every Nerds Gummy Clusters bite.”
Available in the Nerds Rainbow flavour, Nerds Gummy Clusters will be available nationwide in the US from August and will be widely available in five sizes in October, with suggested retail prices ranging from $0.99-$3.99.
