LPG is an increasingly popular energy choice for food producers.
Flogas Britain – one of the UK’s largest liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG) and alternative energy suppliers – has announced that it is to acquire part of Bulk Gas UK for an undisclosed sum.
Flogas will purchase the bulk LPG distribution stream of the Nottinghamshire-based company, increasing its LPG market share and expanding its domestic and commercial customer base across the north of England and the East Midlands. Bulk Gas UK provides engineering, logistics, training and primary distribution services.
Commenting on the deal, Flogas commercial director Peter Ablett said: “Flogas continues to work actively with independent businesses within the LPG industry and is always interested in discussing owner exit strategies.
“The Bulk Gas opportunity was presented to us, and it made good strategic sense as it has enabled us to strengthen our position in that part of the country.”
