UK lager maker Freedom Brewery has unveiled a major brand refresh, alongside a pair of new additions to its core range.
The changes mark the first time in ten years that the Staffordshire-based brewer has updated its identity, and accompanies a continued expansion programme across the business and its distribution channel. Created by agency Back to Front, the new designs incorporate striking hand-drawn typography as well as imagery unique to each beer.
The new look reflects Freedom’s position as an ethical, contemporary, authentic and honest brewer, and will be accompanied by the introduction of East India Pale and King Koln. The former is a modern lager inspired by the iconic IPA, while King Koln, set for release this November, is a tribute to the classic Kolsch that is designed to push the boundaries of lager.
They join Freedom’s existing range of Helles, pilsner and lager-style beers.
Freedom Brewery director Andrew Taylor said: ”We continue to grow our brewery organically and after an extensive brewery expansion it was natural for us to look at our range to ensure our offering matched our ethos. We dedicate all of our time to producing great tasting, authentic lager that is brewed sustainably and we feel our new range reflects this.”
The products will be available in 50 litre kegs and 24 by 330ml NRBs from next month, and will be stocked by high-end bars, pubs and restaurants throughout the UK.
