Frozen yogurt lolly brand Claudi & Fin has secured three national listings with UK supermarkets, and will extend its arrangement with a further retailer.
In 2014, the brand’s founders were awarded a 12-month contract with Sainsbury’s, after winning the retailer’s Pitch Up with Sainsbury’s competition. Claudi & Fin has now announced that the supermarket will increase the number of stores in which its products are sold by 50, bringing the total number to 431, following a period of “strong sales”.
Available in strawberry and mango varieties, the brand is also preparing to launch in 90 outlets of Waitrose, 60 outlets of Budgens, and through the online supermarket Ocado. In March, it will exhibit its frozen Greek-style yogurts at the International Food Exhibition (IFE) for the first time.
The company said: “The idea for Claudi & Fin lollies came from a desire to find a healthy alternative to ice-cream for children. The lollies contain only the finest natural ingredients and are jam-packed with fruit – but more than that, they are also enriched with vitamin D, which is especially important at this time of year when it’s not possible to get all the vitamin D you need from the sun alone.
“The lollies may have been designed with children in mind, but grown-ups are enjoying them too – the low calorie count (52 calories for strawberry, and 56 calories for mango) make them a delicious low-calorie snack or after-meal dessert for all the family.”
