Food Ingredients Europe (FIE 2017) returned to the Frankfurt Messe in Germany from 28-30 November and once again provided a global meeting place for all stakeholders in the food ingredients industry.
Various methods of delivering protein
FIE 2017 saw a variety of different products showcased which contained protein. It has to be said that 2017 as been a fascinating year for manufacturers as they conjure up different and unique ways of delivering protein. ECOO milk protein crisps were among the highlights as the company states consumers can gain 90% protein and that the crisps are low fat.
Packaging innovation
There was a lot of various packaging options on show during FIE 2017, the main one which caught our eye was by US-based Findlay’s Organics with its Black Turtle Beans. The beans in a purple and white carton box are exposed through the pot-shaped window.
