Drinktec, the world’s leading trade fair for the beverage industry, once again took place after a four year hiatus at Messe München from 11-15 September 2017. With producers from all over the world attending to meet with suppliers and customers, organisers have claimed that with over 76,000 visitors from more than 170 countries, Drinktec 2017 has produced the best ever results in its 66 year history, surpassing all expectations and visitor numbers rising by 10,000 from the previous event in 2013.
Technology
The latest innovative technologies for the packaging and processing industry were on offer at Drinktec 2017, with companies such asGEA who showcased its Ariete Homogenizer 5400, a five-piston homogenizer processing 80,000 litres per hour at 120 bar.
Packaging
Drinktec showcased a lot of companies’ latest packaging offerings, in particular SIPA who showcased an innovative range of new platforms in preform injection and bottle blow molding. Another interesting story came from Lightweight Containers, which spoke about the company’s range of its first-ever circular KeyKeg, consisting of approximately 10% used KeyKegs.
