Gardein has released a new range of plant-based single-serve meals, in an attempt to provide healthy and convenient meal options for US consumers.
Four flavours will initially be available in the range: Italian Saus’age & Pasta Bowl, Chick’n Fajita Bowl: Orange Beefless Bowl, and the Teriyaki Chick’n Bowl.
All four bowls are made with a range of plant-based protein sources, vegetables and rice or pasta, and are made with 100% non-GMO ingredients.
Gardein is also launching a range of sausage alternatives called Breakfast Saus’age Patties, which contain 6g of plant-based protein per serving and 75% less fat than a regular pork sausage.
Clint Mickel, director of marketing at Boulder Brands said: “Gardein makes food for everyone and every diet – vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian and anything in between.
“Regardless of your reason for going meatless, Gardein wants to make sure you don’t miss out on a single thing, and we are excited to expand our product offering with high-quality, great-tasting Single Serve Bowls that offer the same great texture and taste as real meat.”
Both the new range of bowls and the sausage patties will be available nationwide in the US from selected retailers.
