General Mills has teamed up with Girl Scouts of the USA to introduce new Yoplait yogurts in three cookie flavours: Thin Mints, caramel coconut, and peanut butter chocolate.
Now available in the US, the line is a permanent, year-round addition to Yoplait’s yogurt portfolio.
General Mills said the new flavours do not contain high-fructose corn syrup, are made with live and active cultures, and are gluten free. Thin Mints and peanut butter chocolate are available in 4oz cups, and caramel coconut in a 6oz variant.
Yoplait business unit director Doug Martin said: “For those who wish they had more ways to enjoy their favourite chocolate mint, peanut butter chocolate, and caramel coconut flavors, we have three delicious, new yogurts inspired by America’s most popular Girl Scout cookie flavours.
“Girl Scouts of the USA does extraordinary things for girls like teaching them valuable life and business skills through the Girl Scout cookie programme, which is why we are honoured to work with the organisation.”
Girl Scouts of the USA chief revenue officer Barry Horowitz added: “Beyond the delicious flavour, the yogurts will also remind consumers everywhere of the power of Girl Scout cookies.
“The cookie programme is the largest entrepreneurial training programme for girls in the world, and we are pleased Yoplait is working with us to share the message about the programme and the impact of Girl Scouts with even more families in America.”
General Mills is producing these new flavours under a license from Girl Scouts of the USA.
Girl Scouts is a leadership development organisation for girls and has 2.6 million members.
