US bakery company Hostess Brands has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of new flavours to its Donettes and Coffee Cakes lines.
Hostess Strawberry Cheesecake Donettes feature a pink, strawberry-flavoured cake donut with a thick and ‘creamy’ icing.
The firm’s new Cream Cheese Coffee Cakes are reportedly made using real cream cheese in the batter and feature a buttery sugar-crumb streusel topping.
Hostess has also announced a wider roll out of a new on-the-go packaging format, which was launched at select locations last year. The ‘snack-friendly’ option offers individually wrapped packs of three donuts and is available for Hostess Chocolate Frosted and Powdered Donettes.
“We are delighted to offer our consumers new flavours and ways to indulge in small moments of happiness throughout their day,” said Adam Lisook, brand director at Hostess Breakfast.
“Hostess always strives to be a beacon of fun and joy in an otherwise hectic life. We hope these innovative new ways to enjoy some of our most beloved breakfast items help our consumers begin their day on a sweet note.”
Hostess Brands’ new Strawberry Cheesecake flavour Donettes and Cream Cheese Coffee Cakes are available from grocery stores nationwide in the US.
At the end of 2019, Hostess Brands revealed it had entered into an agreement to acquire cookies and wafers producer Voortman for approximately $320 million.
