UK-based powdered food brand Huel has expanded its offering with a new ready-to-drink meal alternative product range.
Available in two flavours – vanilla and berry – the drinks have been formulated as a “complete meal” to have on the go, Huel said.
As with all Huel products, the line has been created by registered nutritionist James Collier to include all 26 essential vitamins and minerals, along with “the perfect balance of protein, carbs, fibre and fat”.
The vegan range is packaged in a 100% recyclable plastic bottle.
Speaking of the launch, Huel co-founder Julian Hearn said: “Since launching in 2015, we have continuously tried to uphold our brand mission – to provide consumers with nutritionally complete, convenient, affordable food, with minimal impact on animals and the environment. Our hectic lives mean eating whilst on the move is becoming more and more popular.
“The launch of the Huel ready-to-drink allows us to enter a new market, targeting those who specifically find themselves eating on the go. We can now provide time-conscious consumers with quality nutrition when they might otherwise reach for an unfulfilling, unsustainable quick-fix.”
The news follows a recent funding round which saw Huel raise £20 million from growth equity investors Highland Europe.
Last month, Huel announced it has partnered with Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com to launch its products in China.
