Innocent has launched two new varieties of pure fruit smoothies for children, specifically blended to combine great taste with the goodness of fruit and vegetables.
Its new Smoothie for Kids is available in two different varieties – pineapple, apple and carrot as well as strawberry, apple and beetroot – which each provide one of the five recommended daily portions of fruits and vegetables. They have been made available in supermarkets this month with a recommended retail price of £2.99 for a four-count pack.
The brand will support the launch of the new juices with PR activity and its first television advertising campaign aimed at children since 2011.
Innocent UK and Ireland managing director Nick Canney said: “As the market leader in the kids’ chilled juice market, we work closely with mums to make sure we’re making drinks they want to give their kids. They told us that vegetables are the number one thing that they struggle to get in to their kids’s diets, so we wanted to make something to help them, which is why we’re really proud to be the only brand offering mums a tasty smoothie that has all the goodness vegetables bring, but cleverly hidden so the kids won’t know they’re enjoying something that’s actually good for them too.”
