ADM Wild’s Bastian Hörmann and Jochen Kistner spoke to FoodBev’s Alex Clere at SIAL Paris 2018 about the company’s perceptions of consumer trends in the beverage industry, and how their portfolio will help customers meet those trends.
Hörmann explained: “What were are exhibiting is our broad ADM portfolio for the food and beverage industry. We have a lot of ingredient and ingredient systems and solutions here, and we are showing that in the concepts [available on the stand] to taste.”
Jochen Kistner explains how the natural, clean-label trend is evolving.
“[In] the beverage industry it is already well-established, but how that is formulated into the beverages, how the solutions look – that has changed. So we have even more formulation and technologies to help exactly to meet these demands, seeing when we have a focus on great-tasting concepts for everyday consumption, the integration is much more [advanced] than it was even two years ago.”
And Hörmann continued: “We want to shape the future of the industry. We see a lot of personalised nutrition, a lot of added benefits to our customers’ brands and to our customers’ products. At SIAL we hope we can draw that picture that we are a ‘one-solution supplier’ globally and have all the ingredients and ingredient solutions in the portfolio to shape their brands, to meet their consumers’ demands, and to meet the market demands now and in the future.”
