Parabel, a US-based producer of plant protein ingredients from water lentils, has detailed its intention to expand its portfolio with a new water lentil milk.
Habbo de Vaere, the company’s vice president of global sales, told FoodBev at Food Ingredients Asia 2019 how Parabel is looking to take advantage of plant-based trends.
The firm has also developed a neutral-coloured protein ingredient, which is designed to be an allergen-free substitute for plant proteins such as soy or pea.
