Vobe Nitro’s co-founder, Cathy Lynch, spoke to FoodBev’s Alex Clere at SIAL Paris 2018 about the canned coffee’s point of difference over other products.
Lynch demonstrated how the nitro can works and explained: “We are not a cold brew, number one; and our second point of difference is that we have a wonderful nitro widget can which enables our customers to have our product on an on-the-go basis.”
The RTD coffee is dairy-free but has a very smooth and cream-like texture thanks to the nitrogen infusion, while also being low in sugar.
“We’re currently only selling in Ireland and online; we came here to SIAL to meet distributors and we met a lot of potential customers so the show has been really good for us. We have an on-tap product, which will be launching in 2019.”
Lynch says that the reception to the product at SIAL has been “absolutely fantastic”, and the company has met a number of potential customers that it hopes to be able to convert.
