Kirin has revealed a refreshed bottle design for its Kirin Ichiban beer brand in the UK as it aims to “cement its premium look and feel”.
The Japanese brewer has updated the packaging to “achieve a cleaner, sleeker finish”. The new bottles will be available at nationwide operators such as Wagamama and supermarkets including Asda and Morrisons.
Kirin said that the Kirin Ichiban lager is made using the first press brewing method and remains “one of the only beers in the world” to use this process.
The new design seeks to emphasise the brewing process, with a clearer description to better educate consumers of its importance and the brand’s heritage.
John Clements, head of commercial marketing at Marston’s on behalf of Kirin Ichiban, said: “Kirin Ichiban is a fantastic Japanese beer, and the bottle refresh will cement its premium look and feel.
“Heritage and the brewing process is at the heart of this brand so it’s fantastic to modernise the design for our UK market. This is a beer for operators who believe that only the very best will do for their customers, and hopefully, the new bottles will make it pop out on shelves and in fridges too.”
Marston’s acquired the UK distribution rights of Kirin Ichiban in May 2017.
