Chocolate spreads brand JimJams has added new chocolate and hazelnut-chocolate spreads to its range of products, which has been given a lift in the form of fresh new branding.
The spreads are a healthier alternative to existing options, with 83% less sugar than other leading brands. They are also gluten free and suitable for diabetics, with no added sugar and just 35 calories per serving. JimJams has said that the range is great for spreading on crumpets, pancakes and croissants – or for use in milk shakes, hot chocolates or to add a chocolatey twist to a bowl of porridge.
The brand is the brainchild of mother-of-two Kellie Bath, who wanted a healthier chocolate spread with less sugar for her children. With the aim of appealing both to children and their parents, Bath launched JimJams as a natural, wholesome and delicious spreads brand – now with a fun new packaging design.
JimJams co-founder Kellie Bath said: “As a parent, you want the best for your children. I am not alone. When we realised that there was a gap in the market for healthier chocolate spreads, it became a mission to create something that tasted fantastic – yet that also contained less sugar. JimJams has a broad appeal; it is for mums who would like their children to consume less sugar, but still enjoy a treat – and for children who want a spread that is fun and funky! It is also for adults looking for a nostalgic comfort food. All that is needed is JimJams.”
As well as chocolate spreads, JimJams has developed a range of reduced sugar jams, containing 33% less sugar than other leading brands, and with a high fruit content of 55g per 100g. JimJams’ jam family consists of raspberry, orange marmalade, strawberry and blackcurrant. All are suitable for vegetarians and only 35 calories per serving.
