Swiss coffee machine manufacturer Jura has unveiled a new bean-to-cup coffee machine for the domestic market, called the Giga 6.
The Giga 6 is equipped with two electronically-adjustable ceramic disc coffee grinders, two pumps and two thermoblocks, and Jura claims that the machine can prepare two “barista-standard” coffees simultaneously, without the need for coffee capsules.
According to Jura, the machine offers 28 different beverage options, including popular beverages such as caffè latte, flat white, cortado and more.
Hot milk and milk foam dispensed by the machine can also be tailored to individual tastes and programmed to 10 temperature levels.
Connected technology is also utilised by the machine, as it is equipped with Jura’s Smart Connect device with Bluetooth communication, which is compatible with the Jura Operating Experience app. This app allows users to operate the machine from a smartphone or tablet, personalise beverages, view maintenance instructions and videos, order filters and more.
Jura claims that the GIGA 6 uses artificial intelligence via a self-learning algorithm to identify personal preferences and adapts the start screen accordingly, showing preferred beverages. Users can also give beverages custom names, which can be shown or hidden.
