Kellogg-owned breakfast cereal brand Kashi has released a peanut butter crunch cereal in the US under its Golean portfolio.
The crunchy clusters are made with rolled oats and puffed whole grain, which then get rolled in roasted peanut butter to create a balance of sweet and salty.
Each serving is said to contain 10g of protein, 1g of whole grains and 6g of fibre.
Kashi food scientist and developer Zarini Tahir said: “Our happy place is creating food that tastes good and is good for you, all wrapped up in a nutrition-forward product.
“Golean peanut butter crunch offers a great crunchy texture, awesome plant protein and fibre without sacrificing taste. It’s an irresistible cereal or snack for any time of day.”
Other products in the Golean range include: Golean original cereal, Golean crunch, Golean honey almond flax crunch, Golean cinnamon crisp, Golean chocolate crunch, and Golean toasted berry crisp.
Last month, Kashi launched a cinnamon French toast cereal, made from crispy corn puffs, cinnamon and maple syrup.
