Naked Glory, part of Kerry Foods, has expanded its meat alternative portfolio with new ready-to-eat Deli Readybites as it aims to meet convenience demands.
Available in three flavours – Tikka, Roast and Smoky BBQ – Deli Readybites do not require any cooking and intend to offer quick and convenient lunches and snacks.
Deli Readybites marks Naked Glory’s first ready-to-eat range as the brand aims to capitalise on the growing opportunity for meat-free products that cater to a variety of occasions.
The flame-grilled range can be used in a variety of different formats and servings such as salads, wraps and sarnies.
Like Naked Glory’s complete portfolio, the Deli Readybites range is registered by The Vegan Society.
Naked Glory first launched in September last year and aims to “take meat-free protein to a whole new level” by marinating, seasoning, smoking, sizzling and flame-grilling different products.
Deli Readbites will join Naked Glory’s portfolio which includes meat-free quarter pounders, mince and sausages and its recently launched range of chicken Tenderstrips.
Alison Lees, marketing manager at Naked Glory, said: “Providing variety and convenience is key for retailers, so we’re really excited to see our brand-new Deli Readybites hitting shelves up and down the country this month, helping to liven up the nation’s lunchtime.
“They don’t require any cooking at all, so are perfect for dishing up quick and convenient lunches and snacks – whether that’s on their own, tossed through a salad or used to recreate a classic coronation ‘chicken’ for jackets and sarnies.”
Deli Readybites will be available in Asda stores from 27 April across the UK. The range will be featured in the cooked meats aisle in an effort to tempt the increasing number of meat-eaters who are moderating their meat consumption.
