Keurig Green Mountain has launched a new range of K-Mug travel pods that offer compatibility with the company’s home brewing machines.
The pods brew a large travel mug-sized quantity of beverage and are “specially formulated to deliver the quality and strength of flavour that Keurig 2.0 brewer users expect,” the company said. The pod cup is made from recyclable polypropylene and will initially be available in five varieties of coffee: breakfast blend, dark magic, French vanilla, donut shop regular and donut house coffee.
The new format increases the variety and convenience of options available to Keurig users, expanding the firm’s product portfolio to nine brew settings.
Keurig chief product officer of hot systems Mark Wood said: “When we launched Keurig 2.0, one of the key insights we heard from consumers is that they want to brew more: they want to brew larger quantities of coffee, and they also want more brewing options to accommodate their varying drink occasions throughout the day. The introduction of the K-Mug pod satisfies those desires, giving our fans the choice to brew an even wider range of sizes in the Keurig 2.0 system with the assurance that no matter how they customize the size of their brew, they will still get the perfect, high-quality beverage they expect in their cup.”
