KeVita, the US brand of fermented probiotic and kombucha beverages, has announced the addition of two new flavours to its Master Brew line: blueberry basil and roots beer.
Taking cues from today’s food trends and interest in innovative pairings, the brand aims to bring two unique flavour profiles to the kombucha market, while providing all the benefits of a traditional kombucha brew.
Blueberry basil is said to have a floral flavour with a peppery basil kick. Meanwhile, roots beer has a blend of earthy roots, along with cinnamon and vanilla for a modern alternative to root beer soda.
Each bottle contains live probiotics, organic acids, caffeine and 35 calories per eight ounce serving. The two new flavours join the Master Brew kombucha family of 11 variants, including ginger, pineapple peach, tart cherry, dragon fruit lemongrass, citrus, and raspberry lemon.
Last summer KeVita launched three new flavours to its line of cleansing probiotic apple cider vinegar tonics. The brand was acquired by PepsiCo last year as it aims to extend its portfolio to a wider audience.
The two latest variants are now available in the US at Whole Foods Markets.
