US beverage brand Kombrewcha has announced the addition of new flavours to its range of hard kombucha, for the first time, and the launch of a variety pack.
Two new flavours will be launched in US stores from September: Blood Orange and Mango Pineapple.
A new variety pack of four 12oz cans will also be available to purchase for $9.99, featuring the two new flavours and returning flavours, Berry Hibiscus and Ginger Lemon. Kombrewcha says the new format serves as an introduction to the category, with the aim of driving a ‘trial’ of the brand, as opposed to larger variety packs.
The entire portfolio of hard kombucha is made using all-natural ingredients including fair-trade sourced tea and is USDA organic certified.
With a 4.4% ABV, the gluten-free drink intends to offer an alternative to hard seltzer, beer or wine. Each can contains 120 calories, between 8-10g carbs and 6-9g of sugar.
Founded in Brooklyn in 2014, Kombrewcha says it has made changes to its product portfolio to propel its growth, as well as continue its expansion into new markets across the country. The brand launched into ten new regions in March which reportedly doubled its presence in the US.
Kombrewcha’s CEO Garrett Bredenkamp said: “It’s such an exciting time for the hard kombucha category and we’re all about finding the right opportunities for Kombrewcha to reach our target consumer.
“This product portfolio refresh is a direct representation of us finding white space within the category – whether that be through new flavour combinations or our new variety four-pack, created specifically to drive trial with curious consumers.”
Kombrewcha now offers its portfolio in a variety of formats including 12oz and 16oz cans and six- or four-packs.
