Kraft Heinz will bring its Velveeta brand of cheese into the frozen aisle, with two new products that are set to capitalise on the growing trend towards snack products and lighter, smaller meals.
Velveeta cheesy bites features Velveeta cheese blended in a crispy tortilla coating, available in original and salsa con queso flavours.
And the new Velveeta stuffed grilled cheese combines parcels of buttery biscuit dough with a Velveeta cheese filling.
With up to 80% of Velveeta consumers buying frozen snacks and meals, Kraft Heinz said, the new products will offer them a convenient frozen option that can be microwaved in just one minute.
Velveeta stuffed grilled cheese comes in boxes of two or six sandwiches, while the two flavours of Velveeta cheesy bites are available in 6oz or 18oz boxes.
The frozen Snacks are available at grocery and mass merchandise retailers across the US with a suggested retail price of $4.99 for the 18oz format.
